Who we are

Showdown is operated by Showdown Labs LLC in New Jersey, United States. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@showdownpoker.app.

Information you provide

• Account information: your sign-in email, account identifier, username, display name, bio, and profile preferences.
• Poker records: hands, sessions, notes, venues, dates, stakes, results, and records you import or save.
• Community activity: posts, comments, likes, follows, reports, and blocks.
• Purchases: Apple transaction identifiers, purchased products, subscription status, and entitlement records. We do not receive your payment card or bank account details from Apple.
• Support messages and, if you enable notifications, your device’s push notification token and notification preferences.

How we use information

We use this information to sign you in, sync your records, display stats and replays, operate the community, deliver requested notifications, verify purchases and free allowances, provide support, and prevent abuse. Our infrastructure providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and request or error logs to operate and secure the service.

We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking. We do not use your customer records for advertising audiences or marketing mailing lists.

AI logging is optional

With your permission, text you enter into AI hand or session logging is sent through our backend to OpenAI. This includes relevant conversation and draft details and context such as currency, date, and time zone so the service can turn your description into a structured log.

Free-form poker descriptions may contain personal information if you include it. Please avoid unnecessary real names, contact details, and sensitive information about other people. Manual logging remains available without using AI. You can withdraw permission in Settings; this stops future use until you consent again, but does not recall information already processed.

OpenAI processes requests under its applicable API terms and data-handling policies. We do not promise that submitted text is anonymous or that the provider retains no data. See OpenAI’s privacy policy.

Service providers and sharing

We use Supabase for authentication and backend storage, OpenAI for optional AI logging, Apple for purchases and push notification delivery, and Cloudflare for the website and shared-link delivery. These providers process information needed to provide their services. Processing may take place in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.

We may also disclose information when legally required, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.

What other players can see

Your profile and content you post publicly can be viewed by other users. Followers-only content is available to the applicable audience. Creating and distributing a share link allows people with that link to access the shared content, and shared web previews may be visible without signing in. Do not share a link to content you want to keep confidential.

Reports and block records are not displayed publicly. Authorized moderators can review reported content and take action. Blocking limits interactions within Showdown; it cannot prevent someone from viewing publicly shared material while signed out, or remove copies already saved by others.

Retention and deletion

We keep account data while it is needed to provide the service. You can delete records or request permanent account deletion in the app under Settings → Manage Data. You can also email us for help. Account deletion removes associated active account records; limited security, moderation, legal, and transaction records may be retained where necessary. Backup copies and provider logs may remain until their normal retention periods expire.

Deleting your Showdown account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings. We cannot delete copies of content that other users have independently saved.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, export your sessions, delete your account, choose what to share, disable notifications, and use manual logging instead of AI. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information. Contact us to make a request; we may need to verify your identity.

Children and updates

Showdown is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us. We may update this policy as the service changes and will update the date above and provide additional notice where required.
